First and Best is interested in publishing the following types of educational books:

Materials for teachers – often texts which teachers will read and then return to a staff meeting to discuss. Our series “School Improvement Reports” pioneered this approach and there is still demand for these books. We are always open to other materials which are aimed at teachers on a department-wide or school-wide basis.

Drama, history, DT, PSHE and religious studies lesson materials – offering a new approach, of practical use to the teacher in the classroom and directly relating to the National Curriculum and GCE syllabi.

Special needs and behaviour management materials.

Information for school administrators – be it material related to specific topics,
or more general items on raising the efficiency of the school office.
At this moment we cannot consider any fiction or primary texts.
