| First and Best in Education | PHOTCOPIABLE EDUCATIONAL BOOKS | ||||||||||||
If you have a book that you have written or are about to write and which is aimed at schools, we’d like to hear from you. We are launching a new series of school books (covering all subject areas plus such topics as behaviour and discipline, assemblies, school management, school administration etc, etc). The books will be sold as downloads – meaning that teachers who are interested come on-line and download the book onto their computer. They are then free to print off as many copies as they like. There’s no charge to the writer – we undertake the advertising and distribution of the books through the First and Best website which is already used to sell a large number of printed books, plus some downloads. If you have a book and would like us to consider it please email the book, or an extract of it, in either Word or as a PDF file, to Anne@firstandbest.co.uk But please note, the book has to be ready to download, so we can’t take on projects that require proofing, the addition of pictures or any other work – the books have to be ready to be put onto the online shop. Please note also that we can’t take anything in other formats or as printed pages – it must be provided either as a Word file or as a PDF. We also need to receive a brief summary of the book saying whom it is aimed at (age level, subject area, etc), and any thoughts you have on why this book will be wanted by teachers. Once we get your email we’ll get back to you very shortly, and if we are able to take the book we’ll send you a contract. Once you have signed it, we’ll publish the book on our download site and start promoting it to schools. You will receive 50% of the sum received from the school placing the order (excluding VAT). If at any time you wish to withdraw a book you can do so by giving us two months’ notice. You can see the printed and download books that First and Best has published on www.shop.firstandbest.co.uk If you have any queries please call 01536 399 000 and ask for the New Authors Department. |
